Often times I find myself doing projects. Actually, I actively seek out projects to do if I haven't already stumbled into one. Sometimes they have an actual purpose. Most times, I have no idea if I'm doing something correctly or even if it will work out in the end. Most projects don't go as planned and I am constantly learning new skills and magic. By the way, the blog itself is obviously another type of distraction, in case you didn't pick up on that already.
Appalachian Dreams
I almost dropped out of Grad School around February of 2006. Most of my time during my third rotation I researched Hammock Camping techniques for Thru-hikers on the AT. I pulled through and finished my PhD in 2012. Now, as a nearly 31yr old post doc at UT, I find myself wanting to change the direction of my life. Fortunately, Becca Loo is ready for an adventure too. Thus begins our Appalachian adventure. On this page I will post AT related things until we actually get our trip underway.
